What you'll do
- Design and build backend services and APIs, primarily with Python and FastAPI
- Develop and maintain scalable batch and streaming data pipelines
- Design storage systems using SQL and NoSQL databases
- Work with cloud infrastructure and containerized environments
- Contribute to system design and cross-functional technical decisions
- Explore modern AI engineering tools and apply them pragmatically
- Help maintain clean, reliable and high-quality engineering practices

What we're looking for
- Professional experience in backend engineering, data engineering or production-focused applied ML
- Strong Python skills and experience with FastAPI or a similar framework
- Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, SQL and NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and production systems
- A builder mindset, curiosity about AI tooling and comfort working in a fast-moving team
- C1 or higher in either English or Spanish

Bonus points
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, Cassandra or graph databases
- Experience with search systems or information retrieval
- Open-source contributions, side projects or active GitHub work
